Broadcast from a new town or city each month, Opening Night gives listeners a back stage pass to the best in theatre, playwriting and live performance across the UK.

Having grown up with the theatre and arts scene in Hull, Lindsey was keen to present the December episode. At the climax of an eventful year in the city the programme explored what the next steps might be for the UK City of Culture 2017.

Featuring interviews with award winning playwright and Hull University alumni James Graham, Artistic Director of Hull Truck Theatre, Mark Babych, and CEO of Hull, UK City of Culture, Martin Green.
